If you are running low on disk space or you simply don't want to use the System Restore to increase system performance you can simply disable it. Please note that if you disable System Restore you will not be able to restore Windows in case of a failure.
To do that click on Start --> Control Panel --> System --> System Restore --> select "Turn off System Restore on all drivers". Now click on OK and them click on YES.
