It is very simple to have your own background for the toolbar in Internet Explorer. Click on Start --> Run... --> type "gpedit.msc" --> OK. Go to User Configuration --> Windows Setting --> Internet Explorer Maintenance --> Browser User Interface. Double click on "Browser Toolbar Customization" and select "Customize Toolbar Background Bitmap". Now put you own background.
