Description:	Disabling the indexing service
Platform:	Windows Xp
The indexing service helps you find files faster when you do a search  but it reduces system performance. If you are having a slow system it is recommended to disable this service. To do this click on Start --> Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs --> Add/Remove Windows Components. Uncheck the Indexing Service.
