It is well known that Media Player sends some information to Microsoft about your preferences in music. If you don't want this to happen you have to click on Tools --> Options --> click on the Privacy tab --> deselect the option " want to help make Microsoft software and services even better by sending Player usage data to Microsoft". Click on OK.
