Description:	Showing hidden and system files

You probably needed at lest once to work with hidden files. By default they are not shown by Windows Xp. Here is how you enable them: click on Start --> Control Panel --> Folder Options --> select the View tab. Look for hidden files and folders and select "Show hidden files and folders". Also it might be useful to uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files". Finish this by clicking on OK.
