If you ever clicked on
Add/Remove Windows Components you probably noticed that some Windows
programs can't be uninstalled. A good example is Windows Messenger. You
should know that this situation can be changed. Locate the file
sysoc.inf in \Windows\inf. Open the file with Notepad. The file should
look something like this:

Remove the word "HIDE" or "hide" from any application that you want to
uninstall. Save the changes to the file. Now go back to Add/Remove
Windows Components. You will notice that you can now uninstall those
programs.
